26-27 July, Chelsea Town Hall, 11:00 - 17:00.
Damien Borowik will be exhibiting a selection of recent paintings and show for the first time the first series of his machine drawings.
The exhibition is part of the Parallax Art Fair, and will take place on 26-27th July 2014, between 11am and 5pm in the Chelsea Town Hall, King’s Road, London, SW3 5EE. Free entry. Tickets available at eventbrite.co.uk
In Damien’s paintings, abstract shapes become interrelated in a combination of gestures. Each mark becomes an essential part of the structural balance, and creates a visual dialogue between flow and tension. The artist combines shapes, colours and textures to achieve a purely aesthetical harmony, where the artwork can speak for itself.
Additionally, the first series of his machine drawing will be shown exclusively at the fair for the first time. The set of artworks is the result of a creative and iterative process between the artist and the machine he created. Programming and mechanics are dictated by the creative input, giving each drawing their unique qualities.
